Leadership comes in many forms. The hardest person to lead is yourself. I have been on a mission to better lead myself, so I’ve spent time in the past couple of years exploring this concept. Amy Vorpahl is one such leader on the same journey. It has been inspiring to see her soar weather it be in the D&D, DMing, teaching others, producing her own albums and now her own D&D one person musical (now on Kickstarter through November 20, 2025).
As part of conversation, Amy revealed that she has wonderful leadership instincts even as a teen doing theater:
“I made sure everyone knew everyone’s names. We had children, know, five-year-olds and stuff.
an eight year old, we had a five year old and eight year old,… I wanted this to be a fun, but at the same time, making sure the people in the booth and the tech and all of that were well respected and known and included.”
Good leaders bring everyone into the circle.
